so stoked to surf with Mai-chan this morning. this young girl gives me a lot of power! super friendly, super happy, and super spontaneous. Mai-chan wanted to learn how to do a cutback so today was the day to put the board on the rail like this.
and surfing with way more confidence and shining so bright.
this is how to start a cutback. follow your left shoulder and make sure you look up. so nice.
then when you finish the cutback, look back towards the right just like this. then smile!
this girl has a million dreams. and when she asks me for advice, i tell her over and over “slow down!”
Josh Moniz left a board in my garage so i gave it a test run today. i think i can win the Pipeline Pro too!
then off to an amazing lunch before we headed out to Kailua for a peaceful drive.
picked up my friends trailer, pulled my boat out of the ocean, and backed it up carefully. i got it in safely, but the guy who backed his boat right after me totally smashed a brand new truck. omg!
want to thank Mai-chan for helping me today pick up this big trailer. we were laughing so much on the way back that i totally forgot i was pulling it. scary. and want to thank my brother for driving Mayuki on it. couldn’t have done it without you guys. thanks for the help!
now the work begins…
