yesterday, was so happy to end day 3 of Boot Camp with Ishikawa-san on a good note! super smart guy that has so much drive to get better and better.
after every wave, we would analyze everything and keep striving to get better and better. look at this exciting ride!
then everything got so easy after.
smooth and cool!
this was our last wave home. thank you Ishikawa-san for the amazing surf sessions!
ok, it felt like years since i had a day off. so what did i do today? head to the North Shore!
stopped by to get a hot cup of Chai Tea! every time i pass Wahiawa, i will stop by here!
yes, it’s more than a cup of coffee.
the reason why i went to the North Shore is because Carl Schaper told me the other day he made something for me. a new foil board!!!
this board is everything i could dream about! Carl wanted me to experiment this piece of art so i couldn’t wait. flew back to town just in time for sunset, waxed her up, bolted on the foil, and ran down the mountain like a kid running to Disneyland!
and after i caught my first wave, i knew it was magic! my dream of getting barreled on a foil is even closer than it’s ever been! i’m even more stoked on foiling then i’ve ever been stoked before. and that’s a lot of stoke! thanks Carl for making my life even better than it already was! A Happy Day Off!!!
