i’ve been trying every part of the grass fed cow. just want to compare it all and figure out what is best for each occasion. so pulling up to the butcher is always so fun… then putting it on the grill is even more fun… then slicing it up and seeing all the juice flowing out is the best part. my mouth was watering… so what did i learn on this BBQ trip? i learned that kalbi is good, i learned that ribeye is better, and i learned that deer is the best. this is the deer we ate and after we ate it, we didn’t want to eat any other type of meat. cooked medium rare to perfection. so happy! had a great trip with Asayama-san, watching him connect to nature was a trill. he was loving every moment and i was loving watching him love every moment. i’m pretty sure we’ll be back… leaving such a powerful and beautiful place is always sad… our airplane seemed like it needed some work. maybe it’s time to fix a few things? haha..back to life, and back to reality. traffic lights, concrete jungle, and too many people!!!
