Back in the day: Diamond Head, Friends, and Dolphins…
Oh Deer Meat
My nephew came back from Molokai and brought me a bag of deer meat. I got out my knife and pretended to be a butcher. I cut the big piece up into smaller pieces. Some for steaks, some for sashimi, and some for katsu.
This night was for steak so I made sure everything was perfectly cut.
Garlic salt, olive oil, and fresh rosemary from my yard. Soak it for a few hours in a ziplock bag and get it ready to cook.
For deer meat, DO NOT overcook the meat because it will get chewy! In fact, I always undercook it. This is how you want to eat deer meat. Soft, juicy, and delicious.
Passed by the Shinkai and noticed something strange.
OMG, what did she hit? She must have hit something because this scratches weren’t there before.
And more scratches on the side. I estimate that’s a hundred thousand dollars worth of damage if it’s fixed the right way. But that’s probably pocket change for the owner.
Seth came home and we all had a family dinner. To our family, Seth is just Seth. He’s no superstar, he’s not #12 in the world, he’s just a cook kid. And his nephews think the same. Everybody loves Seth for being the most caring, kind, and loving kid in the world. And that means more than anything to this family…
