Now that the water is finally cleaning up, some things are looking a little different. There are new reefs, new boulders, and strange things all on the ocean floor. That last hurricane swell did crazy things that changed the ocean landscape. This rock is right in the lineup and I know it wasn’t there before.
Not sure what this pole is but I’ll grab it next time I’m out.
I’ve been surfing here for 40 years and never seen anything like this. There are rocks and reef that got pushed into the lineup.
I can’t wait to get my mask on and take a closer look.
Round 1: Mighty Mouse decided to paddle out on a longer board and be on the biggest and best waves. Mission completed.
It was a beautiful morning again.
Rocky also on a bigger board with much better flow.
For days like today, you need the right board to have fun.
On the way home, I stopped by Foodland and got a special treat for breakfast. Two big raw oysters! It was delicious!
My speargun was sitting here next to my door since June of 2026. I’ve been waiting for the waves to go flat so I can go get some dinner. It’s been the best summer ever so it had to wait. Three months of solid south swells! Now that things should be slowing down, I can imagine there will be a lot of fish swimming around!

Sunny days ahead.
