good morning. windy weather, small south swell, and a lot of worried people here in hawaii. i’m away from my tv, radio, internet, and phone all day so if you hear any good news, please send me an email so i have something good to look forward to after i finish work. mahalo….

it was 7th grade when i met this man named Chico Gonda. well, he was a 12 year old kid then, one of the toughest, respected, and bad boy of niu valley intermediate school. i was a little short and small japanese kid back then but Chico took me in. we hung out together, had great times, and the thing Chico really did to impact my life, was to teach me how to be a bad boy. stand up for yourself, don’t take shit, and friends forever was his bad boy theme. i’m not proud of being terrible and getting into a lot of trouble sometimes, and i bet Chico will deny even being a part of it, but 7th grade was my turning point in my life and i’m glad i met this guy. if it wasn’t for him, i’d be backing down to people, running away from trouble, and still getting picked on all my life. a life i wouldn’t want to live. thanks Chico….

these are Chico’s boys! big, strong, and i’m sure a handful. it was great seeing you Chico, i know you don’t know how much you impact my young life, but you did in a great way and i’ll always respected you for that. the next time you shoot big ulua’s with a bow and arrow, call me up. i want to try!
Niu Valley 7th Grade Classmate….
ONE: We are ONE!
good evening. first, wanted to thank each and every one of you who’s been sending me emails. sorry i haven’t had time to respond. i’m still lost for words and don’t know what to say. i watch the news 15 minutes and turn it off because nothing good is happening. it’s emotional draining hearing one story coming out of america news, and another story coming out of japan news. who to believe? i really don’t know. and i’m sure there are a lot of you out there that don’t know who to believe too. i just ask you to use your best judgement. listen to both sides before you come to a conclusion. japan is saying it’s safe right now, america is saying it’s safe right now. then why is america pulling all americans out of japan? that just doesn’t make any sense.
one positive thing that’s coming out is everybody getting together to help japan. there are so many fundraisers that are popping up in hawaii, which makes me happy. we wanted to get involved too so we got tshirts and stickers printed out. i woke up this morning and seen all the emails of people wanting to donate. yeah, my mailbox was overflowing and it made me pretty emotional to see everybody supporting japan. and what made me happier was to see so many people in japan wanting to help the victims too. and also people from around the world. thank you to you all!

so here’s the update. the first round of “WE ARE ONE” tshirts and stickers will be sent out this saturday from hawaii. if you figured out how to use the MakanaCafe system which is in japanese, great. and for those of you who couldn’t read japanese, here’s how to donate. please send check or money order to:
Go Naminori
P.O. Box 10053
Honolulu, Hawaii 96816
as soon as we get it, it will be shipped out. oh, please write your address in the envelope. the tshirts are $20 each and stickers are 3 for $10. add $2 for shipping here in hawaii or the united states. $5 for japan and international shipping. it’s only day been a day and the tshirts are almost sold out. thank you all.
100% of the proceeds are going into the victims of the japan earthquake and tsunami. thank you again….
WE ARE ONE…..
good morning. want to thank you all for the kind email support i’ve been getting. thanks for cheering me up and thanks for understanding my feeling. 9/11 world trade tower terrorists, hurricane katrina, indonesia tsunami, and other crazy things affected my life, but nothing like the japan earthquake and tsunami. this was like something happening in my back yard. this one is personal…. please keep the positive things coming because it’s working. and if you know somebody in japan that’s down now, pick him or her up. support, love, and hope is what everybody is craving and guess what? all that is free….

ok, back to the fundraising tshirts. it will finally be done today and it looks like this. ONE means “We Are ONE.” there is no question that we are all in this together. my initial dream of go-naminori was to bridge japan and hawaii together. we’ve done that and now it’s time to join hands. i never push something so hard in my life but this is what i’m pushing. please, please, please, whether if your japanese, hawaiian, or from any other country, whether your rich or poor, whether you surf or not, this is the time to give. ALL proceeds from the tshirts and stickers are going straight to the victims of the japan tsunami and earthquake. whether you buy this tshirt, or any other fundraising tshirt, it doesn’t matter to me. buy one, buy both or just simply open your hearts. japan needs the support and it’s time to give hope to the kindest people in the world. if we all join our hand together, we will all pull through this. these tshirts can be sent anywhere in the world and if your having a hard time ordering one online, send your order to ORDER@GO-NAMINORI.COM. or if you see my around, i’ll have some in my car. i appreciate all you support!
