This really popular drama called “Anata ga zutto suki datta” came out in June of 1992.  That’s the exact time I moved to Japan so I got addicted to watching it every Thursday nights at 8pm.  I didn’t understand any Japanese at the time and there are no subtitles.  But I could somehow relate to what was happening.  A creepy guy named Fuyuhiko-san driving his lovely wife crazy.  This was the start of my addiction to Japanese dramas that taught me most of the Japanese I know now.  And it also got me addicted to the song “Namida no kiss” by the Southern All Stars.  I memorized every single word from this song and whenever I hear it, it makes me happy!

Good morning 4am.
North shore 2-4′ and good.
Ala Moana waist to chest high and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and still bumpy.
Lighter trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.

Driving early in the morning and seeing weird things.  This guy was driving on the freeway with his trunk open.  As I got closer, there was a bicycle in there.  Probably stolen.  

The waves were so good again this morning.  Maya-san was loving the late take offs.  She was so calm!  

Amazing rides on this East swell that is wrapping all the way into Ala Moana.  That means long and perfect lefts everywhere.  Good surfing girl!

My eyesight isn’t perfect at all.  But when I’m in the ocean, I can see perfectly.  So if you try to hide from me, I will find you.  My students know I’m watching them all the time.  Haha.

Yard work at Grandpa’s custom built house.  I always feel good energy when we’re there.  Grandpa worked hard so I’m sure he’s proud of his Grandson’s working hard too.
