GT, OMILU, TAKO, IKA, SASHIMI!!!

like the past 4 days of the new year, today was dam beautiful. the winds were off-shore, the waves were flat, and the water was clean. perfect for diving… and what makes it better is the waves were junky all around the island today so i didn’t miss a thing…

by lunch time, kyle and i filled the cooler with fish. so we ate lunch, and went tako hunting…. it’s tako poke time…

the sandbar was pretty nice. only 2 other boats. these tourist were from south africa. they must be loving it here in hawaii…

3 big omilu’s or GT’s and a bunch of other fish. we grabbed 5 tako too. oh…. kyle caught a “ika” or squid. and i told him that there is a rule on my boat. “if somebody catches an “ika”, we are going to eat it sashimi style right there. good thing i took my shoyu and wasabi today….
more photos coming tomorrow. right now, i’m going to eat fish and sleep. have a great evening…
by the way, today ended up being an expensive day for me. 2 of my spear shafts bent because of the omilu’s. that’s $140 for new ones. those fish better taste good. haha…

Hawaii Saiko!!!

Diving Saiko!!!

Taiwan Local Surfers….

good morning. 5:15 am. buoy 1 is 14 feet 15 seconds.
good news: big west north/west swell coming.
bad news: onshore winds.
here’s what i think. wanna surf? go early to mokuleia or haleiwa before it gets too big. wanna dive? today is the perfect day on the east side. what a tough decision i have to make so early in the morning. haha. can you believe i’ve been leaving in the dark, and coming home in the dark since new years? and can you believe i haven’t touched a drop of alcohol since the new year? not even a smell of beer? i didn’t think that life gets better and better. i feel great!!!
eat healthy, exercise, and maximize your days. that’s the key to a happy life…. [:?????$B!x(B???:]
