good morning. 5:45 am. south/west winds again. going to check the same spot that i surfed yesterday. can’t wait!!! have a nice day….
**i just got word from kyle nakamoto over at Red Sea Adventures/Hawaii Skin Diver TV that the dates have been decided for the upcoming Timor-Sumba Ultimate Dream Boat Trip!! it’s happening in october of 2010 and it’s going to be a great one. i heard a rumor that there are 2 seats left. i got mine and this might be a chance to get yours. well, that’s if your not too late… i went on this trip last year and oh my gosh, it was one to remember. we left kupang, timor and sailed on a 110′ pirate ship across the indian ocean to sumba. we dove, surfed, and had a great time. i can’t wait for october to come!!!

1. this is the boat. 6 rooms with baths and toilets in each. 2 dingys at your service. and 8 friendly staff to help you with all your needs….

2. perfect indo barrels. uncrowded spots with epic conditions….

3. free divers on board!! yeah, so far, 5 hard core diver/surfers are signed up. what does that mean? all the sashimi and sushi you can eat!! and i’m talking, everyday….

4. all the bintangs your heart desires. imagine sitting on a boat in the middle of the ocean watching the most amazing sunsets eating sashimi talking to friends while sipping on ice cold bintang beers? enough said…

5. all the shells you want. just jump on the many white sandy beaches and it feels like your in a souvenir shop….

6. you can explore the true indonesian tribal lifestyle. but just don’t go alone or they might eat you for dinner. haha.. just joking.

7. for you fisherman, trolling is awesome. sailfish, GT, tuna? anything you want, you can get…

8. fresh sashimi platters every night, including lobster….

9. the most amazing surfing destinations. wouldn’t you want a photo like this of you? i sure would… there is a photographer on this boat trip too, and that photographer is me. if you can surf or dive, i’ll get your photo!!!

10. and last, imagine waking up to the most amazing sunrises to start off your day, and the most amazing sunsets to end it. i wish october is here already….

Surf, Eat, Sleep….

i left early to the north shore knowing that the south/west winds were on the way. the wind outside my house was strong when i left so i was racing against time. passed by laniakea and seen it turning side/onshore already so i cranked a u-turn and headed to a spot that i totally forgot about. had a feeling it was going to be good…

and the feeling was right. it was better than good, it was epic!!! light off shore winds, head high, and perfect lefts. and best yet, NOBODY OUT!! nobody out on a sunday? this spot is a secret spot my friend todd took me too about 10 years ago. i totally forgot how good it gets with the south/west winds. i surfed for 2 hours and caught 20 perfect lefts!!! good call. thanks todd…

fried chicken, fried ika, and a musubi for lunch, or should i say brunch….

mango season? i’ve never seen mangos on a tree at this time of year. look around and you won’t find any. i took this photo yesterday at my grandpa’s house. 2 months more and i’m eating ripe juicy mangos…

i stopped by to feed kalua some potatoes. he didn’t eat them so i asked the neighbor why? she told me “did you put butter on them?” i thought she was joking. but she wasn’t. gosh, what a spoiled pig!!!
