30 Beautiful Days….
Dreams are Possible: The Karate Kid….
good morning. 6:15am sunday morning. got the surf into summer going on at bowls and the nssa at kewalo’s today. the waves are chest/head high and looking super fun. i’ll probably go by and check out the contest for a while, then surf the same place i did yesterday. it’s sunday so everywhere will be crowded, except there. but first, going to the airport… have a great day!!
last night was exciting. i went with some friends to watch the UFC fight. rashad evans(champion) vs. lyoto machida. i’ve been watching these two fighters fight for the past 2 years. i don’t like evans because he is cocky. talks shit too much. machida on the other hand is humble. he’s a karate expert that is half japanese/half brazilian. i like his style, his power, his speed, and his humbleness. so this was a fight i wasn’t going to miss….
when the bell rang, i was excited. here are 2 fighters that are both undefeated. that’s a first in UFC history. although i don’t like evan’s, he can freaking fight. and he beat the best of the best in the UFC. but machida is part japanese so i was cheering for him….
round 2, lights out!! evan’s got knocked out by machida’s karate punches…. i was freaking yelling my head off. i haven’t seen such awesome karate since mr. miyagi in the karate kid. i’m going to go outside and wax my car. “wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off”…..
machida is the new light heavyweight UFC champion. i don’t think anybody can beat this guy…. after he won, they interviewed him and although he can’t speak too good english, this is what he had to say.
IF YOU HAVE A DREAM IN YOUR LIFE, GO AHEAD. IT’S POSSIBLE….
these words stuck in my head all night long. i feel the same way. now i’m going to start training karate. i took it when i was in 2nd grade at haleiwa elementary school. now i’m ready to return into the dojo…. and when i get my black belt, you better not drop in on me. haha…. but yeah, no matter what your dream is, you can do it….. machida did it and so can you….
Sign Language Classes in Hawaii….
good evening. once again, diamond head was the best spot today. over head and going off. i got tired of surfing with 100 other surfers so we surfed a spot that was going off by ourselves. yeah, believe it. we scored and i’m too tired to talk about it. surf again tomorrow…. good night…
is this real? or is the photoshop? either way, it’s crazy!!
hawaii is made out of lava. this is lava…
kelia was over at my moms house the other night. after i took this photo, i couldn’t believe how dirty her feet were. yeah, in hawaii, even girls don’t wear slippers sometimes. this will never happen in japan yeah? but kelia would probably tell me that this isn’t japan. haha…
**hey, got an email from jared katakura. i mentioned to him that i wanted to take sign language classes this year. the good news is that the class is coming up this summer. the bad news is that i’m not going to be here. shit!!! i’m so bummed… anyway, if you or somebody you know want to take sign language classes, here’s the information. i hope i’m here for the next class. keeping my fingers crossed…[:?????$B!x(B???:]
