good sunday evening. the waves were good in town and in the country. i took a day off today but still had to check out the waves….

pulled up to bowls around 2pm and the waves were so good. head high and perfect peeling lefts. kind of crowded but nothing compared to yesterday. this south swell is supposed to hang for a few more days. and so is the north swell. gosh, i actually have a choice when i wake up tomorrow morning. but what ever it is, surfing is the call….

when ever i’m in hawaii, i try not to eat sushi because no where compares to the kind of sushi i eat in japan. but i was craving sushi today so i stopped by kozo sushi for lunch. all i have to say is that it wasn’t too great. actually, it was terrible. i should have eaten a locomoco instead….

surfers coming back from kaisers all had a smile on their face. i think that was the best spot in town today. the rights were barreling…

and the shower was packed all day long. no parking and everybody coming out of the water happy. it felt like summer today…

i have to say that hilton hawaiian village did an awesome job on redoing the lagoon. i jumped in there today and the water was really clean. 2 years ago, if i jumped in there, i’d check myself into the hospital. that’s how bad it was…
***the last time i went to okinawa, i finally got the chance to check out the much talked about churaumi’s world largest aquarium. i’ve been to many aquariums in the world but let me just say this, nothing even comes close. i was in awe the whole time and i bet if somebody took a photo of me, my mouth would be open the whole time. yeah, i’ve seen some amazing things in the ocean but that aquarium blew my freakin mind. check out this short clip….

good morning. north shore came up into the 4-6′ and pipe/backdoor’s looking pretty dam good. 15 guys out right now. their holding the haleiwa international final day at haleiwa and the surfing over there should be awesome. our little south swell is still rolling into town. chest, shoulder high with off shore winds. 20 guys at bowls and expect a lot more as the day goes on. surfs up in hawaii, weather is nice, and everywhere is offshore. have a great day!!!
