Post Jelly Sting

This morning Bowls was so fun!  Hashimoto-san caught a really good left!

Arm up and head up.  Good!

I love this photo.  Perfect conditions, good wave, and flying like a bird!

Victim 1 Rocky:  Yesterday jelly fish sting hurts.  Today it’s itchy.

Victim 2 Hashimoto-san:  Nice itchy lines!

Came home to a children’s pizza party!  So fun!

Graffiti, Bluebottles, and Pirates

The stranded boat has been on the beach for days.  It’s an eyesore, a hazard, and stinks of gas.  Because there are no consequences for the owners, it’s still there.

I don’t know the real story on how this boat got stuck on the reef.  But, just by looking at it, maybe it’s because the boat propeller hasn’t been cleaned in a long time?  There were barnacles everywhere so no way this could function properly.

The artist vandals came and tagged it with graffiti the next day.  And I saw some thieves stealing parts off the boat on the afternoons.  I’m wondering how much longer it will be there.

After surfing good waves for 1.5 hours, an army of bluebottle jellyfish invaded Bowls.  We all got stung, you could see them everywhere in the water, and it even got stuck on peoples bodies, arms, and legs.

This one got wrapped around Mighty Mouse’s sleeve.  Thank goodness she had a Dove rash guard protecting her.

These jellyfish will sting you and you will instantly feel it.  The first day it hurts, and the next 4 days it’s itchy.  So itchy that you can’t sleep at night.

This photo would look a lot better without that sailboat on the beach.  Look closely and you will see a guy that pulled up on his bicycle, took out his tools, and started stealing parts.  Haha.
