Beautiful Poke Bowl

Another beautiful morning in Hawaii.  Spent the entire morning taking care of Mayuki.  Scrubbing the bottom, washing the side, cleaning the motors, and making her shine.  I was scrubbing the bottom and every time I looked up, this is what I saw.  Pretty amazing.

I’m working on how to change the propeller in the ocean.  I think I figured out a way.  I just hope I don’t drop anything because it will be gone forever.  A new propeller means faster speeds and cheaper on gas.  Can’t wait for that!

After I finished cleaning her today, she looked brand new again.

My sister’s new passion is making pottery.  She’s been talking about it for a while so I went to her house to check it out.  I ended up leaving with a cute vase and a nice bowl.

A bowl that is perfect for my poke bowl!  Thank you Tammy!

February 27, 2026 Hawaii Surf Report

Yesterday’s visitors.  It was a beautiful moment!

Good morning 4:20am.
North shore shoulder high and good.
Ala Moana knee high and clean.
Diamond Head waist high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

WOT @ 61km

I had to run Mayuki today to see if the maintenance I did on it was ok.  Just had to check for performance and leaks.  Everything was running smoothly so I was pretty happy.  Then a big pod of 50 dolphins rode along side.  It was pretty amazing.

WOT means “Wide Open Throttle.”  My Yamaha outboards run better every time I do this.  I run it full speed for 30 minutes straight so that usually gets me from Waikiki way past Pearl Harbor.  Mayuki is practically flying when I’m going this fast.

I can get up to 38mph or 61km.  Going that fast and being comfortable is what this boat is built for.  I usually do this alone because I don’t want anyone flying off the boat.  It’s a very wild ride.

The water was so clean again so I jumped in for 30 minutes and caught my favorite dinner.  It’s Kole time!

But before that, I have to finish up the ahi and aku Benji gave me.  I’m eating fresh fish every night this week.
