WHIPLASH

Another very low tide morning.  It was shallow, but the waves were super good!

I watched this movie called “WHIPLASH” today.  I had no idea what it was about but as I watched it, I was kind of laughing to myself.  The reason, is this teacher was very strict, almost as strict as me.  Haha.  Well, a lot more to be honest.  He had this discussion with his student and his words were very powerful.  “I was there to push people.”  Yes, I can relate.

“beyond what’s expected of them.”   Yes, I can relate.

“And I will never apologize for how I tried.”  Yes I agree.  I’ve made grown men cry, I’ve made young girls cry, and I’ve gotten into heated arguments.  I have absolutely no regrets because my ultimate goal is always to push my students past their limits.  Limits they don’t even know exist within themselves.  So yeah,  I might have apologized, but from now on, I won’t.  Haha.

Watch this movie and learn how to learn how to be GREAT!

Back in the Day:  SkinDiver TV on location in Wakayama, Japan.

Good morning 3:30am.
Ala Moana chest high and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and good.
Light winds so nice conditions.
Sun, clouds, and showers.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Is JAWS real?

This morning was so beautiful!  The sky was colorful, the waves were good, and the rides were even better.  It was supposed to storm but that wasn’t the case.  And even if it did, it would still be beautiful.

Another shark story making worldwide news.  This one happened on the East side of Oahu.  A guy was fishing on his kayak when a huge tiger shark came by and tried to bite his foot off.  I get asked “why so many shark sightings recently?”  My answer is “there were always sharks in the ocean.  Now everyone has cameras so it turned from fantasy to reality.  If none of this was filmed, no one would believe it.  Would you have believed this guys story without the video to prove it?”  No right?  Anyway, tomorrow a shark will show up somewhere and someone will film it so stay tuned…
