Bowls was really good again this morning.  This swell started last week Tuesday so that’s 7 days of perfect surf in town.  Thank you Neal Miyake for capturing some of those moments.  I just love this new magic board!!!

I heard a rumor about a new foil that just came out.  That rumor is true and now that rumor is mounted to my foil board.

I can’t wait to test this out.  I’m super excited to see how fast I can fly!!!

Back in the Day:  We did a drive thru Japan trip for a Go-Naminori magazine.  I invited a few surfer girls and guys, packed our bags, and jumped in a car and drove all around Japan for 10 days.  We kind of went with the flow and experienced what Japan had to offer.  That trip had some very happy times like this.  We were surfing in a river in the city of Osaka.  That trip also had some scary times too.  I want to say one of the worst experiences of my life.  It was so scary that I can’t even write about it.  But at the end of each day, we were all very happy surfers.

This morning Bowls was pretty good as you can see.  Glassy and if you found the right wave, you will have the right ride.

Ok, If you don’t know who Iam Tongi is by now, you must be missing something.  This 18 year kid from Hawaii is making hearts melt.  He’s in the American Idol Top 5 and I’m predicting he’s going to win it.  

Iam is 18 years old from Kahuku High School.  He’s in the spotlight showing the world some Aloha, right when the world needs it.  Through his music, his voice, and most of all, his heart.  

American Idol is one of the biggest tv shows in America.  It has made a few normal people into superstars.  I’ve never ever cared about it, or let alone, voted.  BUT, this time, I voted for Iam Tongi!

Iam is from the North Shore.  He had to move to Seattle because Hawaii got too expensive.  His Dad taught him music and gave him his guitar.  BUT, recently, his Dad passed away while battling cancer.  Iam sings his heart out to his Dad and it’s very emotional.  Watch this video of his first audition and get some tissue ready.  One of the most emotional videos you’ll ever see…
