Joshua called me yesterday and invited me for a trip out on their boat!  I changed all my plans and said “of course!”  So I woke up at 2:30am and was ready to go!

I love watching the kids grow into responsible and dependable fishermen.  They have amazing teamwork skills.  

Today, I told myself “just sit back and enjoy the ride.”  The boys did everything!  

The morning started off with an amazing sunrise.  First the birds showed up on the 3 hour ride out.  Then we saw dolphins, then whales, then pilot whales.  Then when we arrived at our dive spot, a huge 10-12′ tiger shark swam right up to the boat to say hello.  And it was still 8am!  

The sky was blue, and the clouds frosty white.  

The boys did great!  I was really impressed with their knowledge, skills, and most important, how calm they were. 

Thank you boys for the amazing full day of boating.  

It was a pleasure watching you fine young fishermen shine. Uncle is tired, sunburnt, and content.  Goodnight…

I was cleaning up under my house and found an old dirty suitcase.  I opened it up and out came a million memories!!!   Was pretty cool looking at some of my old trophies from the 1980’s.  

I looked at it, did some reminiscing, put it back in the suitcase, and said goodbye.  Those were some of the greatest times of my life.

Filled up the truck with other things I will no longer need.  Then heading to the dump to throw it all away.

As for this speargun, I will keep it until the end because I need this to survive.  I hope to catch some food soon.
