Anpanman Forever

Every baby and kid that passed through my house was introduced to Anpanman.  That’s the first word I teach them and whenever they come over, that’s the first toy they look for.  These have been in the family since the Moniz kids.  Now it’s getting passed down to my grandnephews.

It’s pretty funny because nobody in Hawaii knows these characters.  But ask my nephews and they all know.

This little toy has brought decades of happiness to the family.  A few of the babies even tried to eat him.  Haha.

This is Mateus’ little brother.  I have 7 nephews and 7 grandnephews.  WAIT!  As of today, I have 8 grand nephews!  A brand new boy was born into the family.  I can’t wait to meet him tomorrow!

Garden of Love

Mateus grew up smelling the sweet gardenia flowers.  I planted a tree for him when he was born and it’s right outside our house so we pass it everyday.  He use to pick the flowers and smell it all day.

As he grew older, he would take care of it, water it, and love it.

When this kid gets older, I’ll bet you the first flower he buys his girlfriend will be gardenias.  Or better yet, he would probably pick some off his tree and give it to her with his cute face like this.  Any girl would fall in love with that.  Haha.

On our ice cream date last night, the conversations are getting a lot more serious as he’s growing older.  Pretty soon we’re going to be talking about girls.  Can’t wait for that.  Haha.

Then I came home and we talked about the gardenias again.  He smelt the bunch that was in a vase on my table, and he showed me his cutie face again.  Priceless…
