Kamogawa Part 2

kamogawa meets hawaii. i’ve heard so many good things about guri guri lunch wagon these past few years. yesterday was finally my chance to check it out for myself. i was missing hawaii before, but i’m not missing hawaii now….

and i’m not the only one loving this place. in japan, people know where to look for good food. and this lunch wagon has good food!!! thanks again yoku-chin….

spicy chicken plate with brown rice and macaroni salad. so good!!!! or should i say, “ono brah”……

wanted to say hello to Tsuji-san. thanks so much for checking out my blog. local surfers rule!!!

watching people surf from the beach is one thing, but watching people surf from the water is another. the sound of the wind, the motion of the wave, and the flow of the surfer on their surfboard is pure joy!!!

Drive Thru Kamogawa….

good morning. another day, another long blog. yesterday was yesterday, today is today. be back soon….

since go-naminori started, there have been 2 people that have been stuck to their computer day in and day out. naoka is on of them. i know how it feels to be trapped in a room for days and days trying to get work done that never ends. it gets stressful and frustrating. so short trips like these are important. naoka on wave one of the morning….

dave is an awesome addition to the go-naminori family. if you met this guy, you would know why. there’s a lot of aloha in kamogawa and dave has a lot to do with that…..

i was swimming around in the water when this kid would paddle by me and smile. after a few waves, i asked him what his name was. this is Kaito who is 11 years old and from tokyo. a cute kid with a smile that can brighten up anyones day.

kaito surfs really good too. he’s from tokyo and surfs only on the weekends. he told me that his mom brought him to the beach yesterday. great mom! to be able to make your kid have an amazing smile is the best gift of all….

eri-chan is living a pretty cool lifestyle. all the times i ask her to go surf, she never says no. i don’t know too many people in japan with that kind of lifestyle… lucky honey girl….
**more photos on the way… stay tuned….
**by the way, i want to say hello to taniuchi taro-san. i stopped by his shop but he wasn’t there. i’ve known taro-san for a long time and he’s always been really kind to me. maybe see you next time!!

and wanted to also thank Yoku-chin from Guri Guri Wagon in kamogawa. he made us the best hawaiian plate lunch japan has to offer. gochisousama deshita!!!
