Tako and Emmy

We found a tako house so I asked one of the girls to go down and try to get it out of the hole.

This is how you go down to the bottom.  Nice and slow.

She tickled the tako and ran out of breath so she had to go back up.  Haha.  Keep practicing girl!

It still amazes me how deep one can go if they see something they really want.  You push your limits to get the treasure.

This turned out to be a big perfect sea urchin.  Nice purple color and very fresh.

Cleaning Mayuki is a peaceful time for me.  It’s like washing a little baby.

The girls challenged Diamond Head this morning.  So good that they can adapt to every condition Mother Nature throws at them.

Still can’t believe Shogun won so many awards!  I really liked that drama from the storyline to the actors.  I’m going to watch it again.

Once again, congratulations to my cousin Shannon.  I wish Grandma and Grandpa Fukunaga were still alive to see your huge accomplishment.  The would be so proud of you!  It made me tear up…

September 16, 2024 Hawaii Surf Report

Endless summer…

Good morning 4:45am.
Ala Moana knee high and clean.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 25mph.
Sun, clouds, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

A Shogun DAY!

Small waves today but happy times with the Uncles this morning.  Such a cool group of surfers.

The best time of the day!

Uncle Clarence taking off deep.  These were the sets today but still fun if had the right surfboard.

Uncle Jerome on the longboard.

This girl knows how to have fun whenever or where ever she is in the ocean.

The waves went flat this afternoon so we went deep free diving for treasure.  Going out of your comfort zone to pick up this nice shell off the ocean floor.  It’s funny how the girls can’t dive deep, UNLESS they see a shell.  Then all of a sudden, they can dive deep.  Haha.

Came home and watched the Emmy’s.  I was cheering for Shogun because my cousin is a co-producer and writer of that series.  And guess what?  Shogun won!

Congratulations Shannon!!!  You did it!

Shannon Goss is my first cousin and our family is very proud of her.  Congratulations Shannon, Uncle Tim, and Aunty Caroline.  That’s a lifetime achievement and the cool thing is, there is more ahead!
