Survival of the Fittest

This morning was really hard to surf.  Strong onshore winds, head high sets, strong current, and wave after wave.  You had to go through 50 waves just to get out to catch a set.  Maybe that’s why nobody was out?  

Sekine-san took the challenge and succeeded.  This was probably the most he had to paddle in his life.

A really cool surfer that never gives up.  Good job Sekine-san!

A Day @ the Cliff…

Good morning 4:15am.
North shore 4-6′ and good in the morning. Onshore soon.
Ala Moana chest high and already onshore.
Diamond Head shoulder high and onshore.
South/West winds at 20mph.
Sun, clouds, showers, and warm.
Going to the sea.
