Only Good Times

This was a couple years ago on a boat trip when we found a spot that housed the biggest lobsters.  We are currently on standby mode to do a trip again.  The waves has to be small, the wind has to be light, the water has to be clean, and there can’t be any surf contest.  In other words, all the stars have to align…

I shot this photo of Gen a long time ago at the Ehukai Sandbar.  Nice air!

Judy is a cool girl to hang out with.  She loves to surf, dive, and everything to do with the ocean.  She took me to a really cool dive spot in Okinawa during a Typhoon when it was closed.  So yeah, she’s adventurous too.

And if I challenge her to do a headstand while surfing, she will do it.  A very talented girl.

November 27 2023 Hawaii Surf Report

Yesterday once more:  Jerome@Bowls…

Good morning 4:30am.
North shore 4-6′ and good. Haleiwa Pro ON!
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sun, clouds, and showers. Heavy rain starting tomorrow.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Bigger is Better

While driving to the beach, I saw the brightest full moon!  I pulled over and the clouds covered it up.  But still so beautiful!

Another amazing day in Hawaii.  Two big storms coming this week so expect heavy rain, thunder, lighting, flooding, dirty water, and traffic.

I thought today would be smaller than yesterday but I was wrong.  Much bigger and much better.  And a lot less surfers too.

Moriyama-san got so much better in these past 3 days.  So stoked to see him ride so many perfect waves.

The perfect bottom turn.  Focused and confident.

Have a safe trip back to Japan.  Keep on surfing Moriyama-san!
