My Dream Family Trip

During Thanksgiving dinner, my sister passed out a paper with a question to a few of us.  We stood in a circle and had to read it out.  Mine said “where would you take your family if you could choose anywhere in this world.”  My answer was Japan.  Then Seth said “yeah, we should all do a family trip together!”  OMG, that would be a dream of all 40 of us can go on a trip to Japan!

Throughout the years, I hung out in Japan with a few of my family members.  This trip was to Tokyo, Shonan, and Chiba with my sister, Kelia, and Isaiah.  Other trips were with Tony and Seth to Wakayama and Shikoku.  Then recently with my brother and my sister-in-law.  So yeah, my dream would be to rent a huge house on the beach in Japan,  have the whole family there, and we surf, fish, eat, and just enjoy the culture.  That is now my big dream!

So if that question was asked to you, where would you take your family if you could choose anywhere in this world?

30 Years

I had a great time surfing with Moriyama-san this morning.  The conditions were absolutely perfect.  Clean water and great surfing.

30 years of surfing experience so 30 years of happiness.

Moriyama-san caught a lot of waves and will be riding more and more in these coming days.

When we have our family dinners, the kids remember every single time I took them out on the boat.  We always talk about it but I forgot 99% so luckily we still have the photos to relive the moment.  If I didn’t have this photo, I would have totally forgot.  But now, I remember everything.  Isaiah with a fish he caught, and we took home and ate after.

Seth, Isaiah, and Kelia were helping me with the ice bath last night.  They were very serious and really wanted me to succeed.  All three of them were coaching me while I was in the freezing water.  Then their Dad walked over and poured the cold water over my head.  Then I had to get out ASAP!  Haha.  Thanks boys!
