8 years ago i took this little kid surfing for the first time in his life.

8 years later, i took this big kid surfing for the second time in his life.

smiling at 9 years old.

and smiling at 17 years old.

i couldn’t believe Yuto-kun stood up on his first wave today and rode every one after perfectly!  he didn’t forget anything!

as a coach, this is probably the best reward ever.  to see a little kid grow into a happy fine young man.  Yuto-kun remembered everything that happened 8 years ago and i’m sure he will remember everything today.  we had so much fun in the ocean and i hope we can do this forever!

at 8 years ago, Yuto-kun had a dream which was to live in Hawaii.  well, he’s going to high school here and has been living his dream.  now he speaks English, now he has more friends, and now he’s grown into a fine young man.  this Hawaii experience is going to teach this kid priceless things in life.  i’m so excited for his future!  thank you Yuto-kun for the wonderful morning, and thank you Yagi-san for letting me experience these precious memories with your son.  i’m so happy!

i was pretty excited walking to Dreamland because there was absolutely nobody around.  so my steps were faster than normal and i keep looking forward at the blue ocean ahead.   

then all of a sudden, i stepped on something, slipped, and almost fell down on my back.  i looked down and couldn’t figure out what it was????  

OMG, somebody took a shit right there in the walkway!!!!  i couldn’t believe it!!!!!

so i ran to the beach and washed my foot in the ocean.  i was so shocked that i stepped in shit, but i was so happy to be at an empty Dreamland.  i guess you can’t have everything go your way.  haha…

my driver was walking right behind me so he saw everything.  and guess what he did?  he laughed at me!  haha…  thanks for warning me Yassin!
