Travel during COVID: Hawaii PCR Test

since the travel requirements change daily, i’ll keep you updated on the current rules.  as of April 4, 2022:  if you want to go to Indonesia or Japan, you MUST have a negative PCR test done 48 hours before your flight DEPARTS.  and after researching, the best place to get a PCR test is right in this building.

walk by Longs and turn into the building.

take one of those elevators to the 3rd floor.

go to room #319.  there are other PCR test centers in the building but this one is best.  why?  because instead of waiting 12 hours, this one is a 15 minute wait for results.

enter this little room and there will be 2 very nice Japanese ladies ready to service you.  the best quality service i’ve gotten in a very long time.   they do a shallow swab in your nose and it doesn’t hurt.  wait outside, and 15 minutes go back to get your results.

yes, NEGATIVE!  omg, i was actually a little nervous.  anyway, you need to show this from when entering Bali or Japan.

i got a card so look them up.  i didn’t make a reservation and just walked in.  it took 5 minutes to do the paperwork and swab.

and it cost $160 for the PCR test.

here is the Japanese version.

by the way, foreigners CANNOT enter Japan yet.  and if you want to enter Indonesia, you MUST go through Bali!  you can’t go to Jakarta!  i’ll give you guys more info along the way.  things change everyday so who knows what tomorrow will bring.  but for now, i’m going to board 2 very long flights.  can’t wait…

Gangster Bitch

i finally had time to wash the truck!  it was so dirty but now it’s sparkling again!  my friend asked me why i washed it when i’m leaving on a trip?  i said “don’t ask.  i even use to wash it in the rain.  when it needs a wash, i simply wash it.”  right after this, it rained!  haha…

i had to dust off my passport and see if it didn’t expire.  it’s been a long 2 years…

i even forgot how to pack my boards.  haha.  one short board, one step-up, and one foil board.  i’m ready for anything.

but the first thing i’ll do when i get to bali is stop on the side of the road and buy my 30 cent breakfast.  that’s all i need before a surf.

then lunch i’ll go to a better restaurant and eat a plate like this.  this only cost $1.50.  i feel so rich in Bali!

Garut left me this note 10 years ago at my hotel in Bali and i still have it.  so i’m going to call that gangster and hopefully he can put me on great waves!   see you soon Bitch!
