No Rain No Rainbows

just surfed Bowls this morning.  for the past 2 days, i saw a total of 4 surfers get kicked out of the spot for disrespecting the locals.  they only got yelled at and not punched so i guess   you can say they were lucky.  one mistake and you can never surf there again.  i don’t really like localism, but if there weren’t any locals regulating these spots, it will become like Waikiki.  and that i don’t want to see…

so happy to see Kaila-chan and Mommy Mai-chan enjoying the hot Summer in Japan.  hope to see you girls soon!

for the past 2 days, i seen these ulua’s.  they run in a school of 5 or 6 so when you see one, look around because you will see more.

this is the biggest one.  i’d say a good 20lbs with plenty of meat for sashimi…

with the strong winds we’ve had recently, there are a lot of passing showers.  most people in Hawaii don’t like the rain…

but if there’s no rain, there’s no rainbows.  so just love it…

Alone @ Secrets…

Good morning 4am.
Ala Moana chest high sets and good.
Diamond Head head high and bumpy.
Strong trade winds at 25mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

2020-21 “ONE” Tokyo Olympics

i woke up at 3am and watched the Olympic opening ceremony live on tv.  i had chicken skin the whole time.  did you see the drones that formed a globe?  that was the coolest thing i’ve ever seen!

i understand why a lot of people are protesting the Olympics.  i’m not going to take either side but what i saw today was the world as “ONE.”  we live in a very unstable world with this pandemic, wars, and craziness.  and the only thing that can bring this whole world together as “ONE” is the Olympics…

i had tears when i saw the kids from Fukushima hand the flame to Naomi Osaka.  Japan is strong, and Japan can get through anything and everything.

let the games begin!

i went short boarding out at Bowls this morning and there were these giant fish everywhere!  i was getting hungry looking at them…

then back out this afternoon.  i found a new place to keep my foil.  now my passengers have to sit in the back.  haha…
