Foil to Surf Adaptation

i’m finally at a place where i can ride any board, any foil, and any type of wave.  from my very first wave, i can connect, and i love it!  that was my dream…

i’ve been going out almost everyday and there’s been many times i almost run over divers or swimmers.  why?  because they don’t have any safety float!   this swimmer is the first one i saw with a float.  i say he’s a very smart man…

this is before the sun even comes up so you can imaging how hard it is to see a swimmer.  but i can see this guy pretty good.

that red float will save his life.  or maybe it already saved his life without him even knowing it…

i almost ran over 2 swimmers ever since i started foiling.  i didn’t see them until they were right in front of me.  luckily i even saw them.  they are practically invisible without a float…

i’m going super fast and my foil blade is very sharp.  so if i hit you, you’re 100% going to the hospital…

July 17, 2021 Hawaii Surf Report

Friday morning @ Waikiki…

Good morning 4am.
Ala Moana chest high and little bumpy.
Diamond Head head high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 25mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Have a wonderful day!

Ala Wai Shark

i was walking to the end of the dock and saw something really weird.  i thought i saw a shark but i’ve never seen a shark at the Yacht Club before.

OMG, it was a shark!  i kind of knew where he was headed for because he was hunting.

so i ran across the dock as fast as i could.  i didn’t want to miss him feeding…

then he popped up exactly where i knew he would.  the reason is i always see fish here every single day and this shark knew it too.

i showed this photo to the maintenance guy that’s been working there for 30 years and that’s the first time he saw a shark there to.  today was my lucky day!
