South swell pumping!!!
Ala Moana head high and good.
Diamond Head 5′ and good.
Trade winds getting stronger to 25mph today.
Sun, clouds, and rainbows.
Going to surf.

wow!  this morning was much bigger than i thought.  solid overhead sets and perfect!  tomorrow will have super good waves too and guess what?  a bigger and better swell coming this Sunday!  

i was so happy to see the young generation paddle out this morning.  Gen Asano, Keanu Asing, Noah Mizuno, Seth Moniz, and Zeke Lau.  Wade and Kerry Tokoro were out too so it was cool talking about surfboards.  

Seth has his own Model from Wade Tokoro.  it was looking super good today.  every time i paddled back out after a wave, i would see Seth on the next one surfing like a World Champion!  

i love my Black Jack.  when i caught my first wave, Seth paddled to me and said “wow uncle, you still can surf.”  haha.  i looked at him and said “what do you mean i still can surf?”  haha.  anyway, this mornings session was super special…

just last year, you could get arrested or a ticket for drinking water at Kapiolani Park.  now it’s wide open and as beautiful as it ever gets!

just last year i was trying to get my foil wings out of the water during turns.  now it’s pretty easy and exciting…

just last year i was thinking when they will stop making condos at Kakaako.  now i see more and more popping up…

just last year i thought it would be impossible for me to do a downwind foil run.  now i can pump out to sea and hopefully to Molokai someday…
