Chasing Mountains

i woke up at 2:30am and was on the North shore by 5am.  we came in at 10:30 so that’s 5.5 hours of fun.  three jet skis and 4 riders taking turns all morning long.  it was the best foiling session of my life…

having a surprise North swell in April is awesome.  i got the call last night and there was no way i was missing this…

Andre Spearguns

i had this gun in my closet for over 10 years.  i bought it from Andre in Bali and forgot about it.  yesterday was the first time i tried it and i only shot it once.  and on that shot, i speared a Uku right were i aimed for it.  now i know it works and hopefully this will catch me a huge fish.  can’t wait to take it out again…

these are called Galapagos sharks.  when you have one aggressive one, it’s ok.  but when you have 10 aggressive ones swarming around you, it’s time to get out.  if we were to spear a big fish, these sharks would attack it right off the spear.  so it made no sense to continue to hunt there.

as for dolphins, they are really friendly.  they will swim right up to you and look you in the eye.  i like to look back into their eye because you can tell they are so happy.  it’s pretty cool…

if you haven’t swam with wild dolphins before, i hope you get to experience it someday.  it will surely make you happy…

then when you see a mother and her baby playing with each other, it’s pretty cool to see.  for the past few times i went out to the ocean, i’ve been super lucky to see the things i’ve been seeing.  and it never gets boring,  only more exciting…
