No rain, no rainbows…

Good morning 4:15am.
North shore 2-4′ and coming up later.
Pipeline Masters and Roxy Pro ON!!!
Ala Moana knee to waist high and clean.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sunrise.
Have a wonderful day!

Rainbows and Snowcaps…

i was sitting in the rain this morning watching rainbow after rainbow.  i was in no rush to paddle out…

then when the early morning crowd came in, it was my turn!

checked out Diamond Head in the afternoon and was tempted, but a series of South swells starting tomorrow so i’d better save some energy…

thank you Takami-san for sending me this beautiful photo from Shonan.  Mt. Fuji is magic!!!  very interesting snowcap…

Lost Aloha…

i’ve been going to the West side a lot recently and every time i pass by the rail, i wonder.  i wonder why it’s taking so long, i wonder why it’s getting so expensive, and i wonder why we’re even doing this?there is still no plan to connect it to Waikiki, and there is still no plan on when it will finish.  it supposed be done already but now they’re saying 2032?  really?   all i know is that lots of businessmen and politicians are making millions of dollars on this deal.  and us normal people are paying for it… i passed by this bus stop in Waikiki the other day.  why would you want to litter in paradise?  why?  no aloha here…i just picked up a high density foam block and fin boxes for my new foil board.  can’t wait to put it in!!!

**heard there is a series of solid South swells coming next week.  lucky us…
