Every afternoon from my house, a bright rainbow…
Good morning 4:40am.
North shore 3-5′ and bumpy in the morning. Cleaning up later. Women’s Roxy Pro @ Pipeline maybe on today!
Ala Moana flat to knee high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Strong trade winds at 25mph.
Sun, clouds, showers, and huge rainbows.
Going to see the sunrise.
Have a wonderful day!

it was like a dream come true to see Joshua and Seth becoming the 11th pair of brothers to surf in the same Pipeline Masters. but today, that dream ended as they didn’t advance to the next round. i watched both of their heats and i was heartbroken. one part of me was shocked, one part of me was angry, one part of me was speechless, and one part of me almost punched the wall. i don’t like to watch my nephews lose, but at the same time, i know that it will only make them stronger. it’s going to be tough for them to watch the rest of the contest because they both know they should still be in it. sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. i don’t care if i lose, but it breaks my heart when i see these kids lose. i hope my pain goes away soon…
the weather has been changing every few days now. some sunny, some rainy, but each day will bring you something that makes you smile…
i wasn’t smiling when i first saw the roof of my van. this is what the sun does to your paint over the years. it basically kills it. this was bothering me so much that i almost paid $850 to have it repainted.
but before spending that kind of money, i tried another approach. i got some sandpaper, rubbing compound, and a buffer and went to work. and this kind of work is really hard. but hey, never give up right?
a few hours later and a soaking wet t-shirt of sweat, my roof was looking sexy! and i saved $850!!! this is happiness for me!
