October 20, 2020 Hawaii Surf Report

Keeping Calm…

Good morning 4:20am.

Ala Moana waist high and bumpy onshore.

Diamond Head chest high and best in town.

South winds at 10mph.

Sun, clouds, showers, and warm.

Have a wonderful day!

Cruise Ships and Cherry Blossoms

passed by the Hilton Hotel this morning and still nobody in any room.  it feels so weird…

i foiled perfect Diamond Head in the morning, then went back out in the evening.  hard to surf, and hard to foil.  it was super challenging weaving in and out of the hundred surfers out there.  i’m glad i didn’t hit one of them…

i like to foil with nobody around.  the feeling of being so free is what lured me to foiling.  it’s probably the closest thing to feeling like a bird.

this big cruise ship is still sitting here in Honolulu Harbor.  i never had any interest to ride one, and after this, there’s no way i’m ever going to.

looking back at old photos.  Seth and Tony in Japan.  cherry blossoms and cute robes.  photos like this are priceless…

My Black Beauties…

when we get into our winter months, you will see very unique sunrises and sunsets.  Summer is predictable and everyday looks the same, but Winter makes you go “wow!”  i’ve been watching “The Legend of Bruce Lee” on Netflix.  i’ve always been a fan, but never really knew the whole story.  i’m learning a lot about this legend and his style.  and i love it!  so this series is supposed to be filmed when Bruce Lee was in college.  so that’s around the year 1960.  i didn’t know Abercrombie and Fitch and Old Navy even existed then?  haha.  i can’t believe these guys are wearing those t-shirts!  and i saw a sign with website addresses.  the internet wasn’t even invented then.  haha!  but i love it because i can watch it and laugh.  now that’s entertainment!  good to see Masae-san enjoying the Japanese lifestyle.  i wish i was there!  and my black beauties just left Bali and are headed to Honolulu.  i can’t wait to get them!
