Perfect @ Diamond Head Cliffs…

Good morning 5:15am.

Ala Moana flat to knee high and perfect.

Diamond Head waist to chest high and perfect.

No winds so clean morning conditions.  Afternoon onshore.

Sun, clouds, maybe rain, and humid.

Going Mayuki.

Have a wonderful day!

The Black Glove

so cool to see all the boats i see in the ocean getting dry docked.  this is the time to do the necessary repairs because no tourists means no work.   this is the pirate boat you always see outside Waikiki.  they pulled it out for bottom paint and repairs.  i’m guessing the bill will be $30,000.  so next time you pay $79 for a 2 hour tour on the pirate boat, please don’t complain!  haha…

for the past 2 days,  i’ve been down at the boat yard all day long.  it’s been like 100 degrees with no wind.  maybe i lost 20 pounds of sweat already and i have 3 more days of work.  i’ve been sanding, doing fiberglass work, and maintenance.  it seems never ending… after i just wiped the sweat off my face, i looked at my hand and couldn’t believe what i saw!!  no, i’m not wearing a glove.  my hands, feet, face, and hair were this color.  this is probably the dirtiest i’ve ever been in my life.  no wonder boat repair guys get paid so much money!  anyway, i better go shower now…

B.O.A.T is Bust Out Another Thousand

got some cool shots from Diamond Head.  seen this couple talking story when the sun was rising.  now that’s true romance…everybody asks me what’s the difference from Diamond Head and Bowls.  Diamond Head is more chill and peaceful.  there’s no competition or bad vibes.  everybody minds their own business.  Bowls is the total opposite.  haha.  and you will never see the sun rising out of the water like this at Bowls.  and the surfer girls out at Diamond Head know how share waves…and instead of hotels, you can actually see the most famous mountain in the world.  isn’t she beautiful…i paid a guy a lot of money before to fix a crack in my hull.  he did a terrible job.  so this time, i thought i’d do something different, by doing it myself.  luckily this cool guy down at Keehi Marine Center came by and gave me good advise.  his name is Red and he was super cool.  i’ll tell you what he taught me later.  it was priceless…if you own a boat, expect to pay a lot of money for maintenance. everything is very expensive, and everything adds up.  there is a saying:

B.O.A.T stands for:

Bust Out Another Thousand…  Haha…

but if thousands of dollars of money equals millions of dollars in memories, it’s all worth it…
