on the island of Oahu, these houses are probably the closest to the oceans edge.  pretty cool huh?  imagine fishing from your living room window?until now, you would have to have symptoms to be able to get a covid test.  and it would also cost you $250.  but from today, you can get a free covid test even if you’re symptom free.  all you have to do is register at DOINEEDACOVID19TEST.COM and go drive through to get one.  finally!   and just found out that Bali is closed to visitors for the rest of the year!  omg, now i can’t go get my $4 massages!!!   meanwhile, Matsu is making me frustrated by sending me these photos from Japan.  i’m so jealous!for the first time in 30 years, i have been stuck here on Oahu.  i’m not complaining, but i really miss Japan so much.  i miss the food, the culture, and especially my friends.  but after this pandemic is done, i’ll probably appreciate Japan more than ever.  and i can’t wait for that!

just as i thought, we are going into lockdown again!  starting tonight at midnight, everywhere will be closed so you can only go out for essential things like grocery shopping and luckily, surfing.  you can’t go play around or even go to your friends house.  you have to social distance and wear a mask if you do go out for essential things.  if you get caught, the fine is $5,000 and or 1 year in jail.  the lockdown will be in effect for 2 weeks but i’m guessing it will be months until we reopen.  so yes, the longest vacation of my lifetime continues.  please be safe and keep healthy.  see you in the water!
