passed by the Halekulani Hotel.  weird feeling to see it like this huh?and empty streets still.  but little by little, i’ve been seeing more cars and people.  Hawaii was supposed to reopen today but the government changed their minds.  now it’s May 15th.  i think that is a better choice…this was Tokyo yesterday.  how do you control Japan’s 126.5 million people compared to Hawaii’s 1.5 million?  i just hope my friends are either staying home or social distancing.  Toda-san is just dreaming about the day he can get back out in the ocean.  washed and polished the truck yesterday when it was dark.  feeling super fresh again…

 since Mateus doesn’t have school, i’m trying to teach him how to be responsible.  so i made him in charge of watering the plants.  he really liked it.  i also made him pick up rubbish but he didn’t like that.  haha.check out our first okra!!!  i’m going to cut it up, mix it with natto, and put it over hot rice… i told him to be careful watering the aloe.  after he got poked, he understood why.  haha.  our garden is looking so good!!!then we came in the house and looked at old photos of us.  when he saw this photo, he said “who is that?”  he didn’t recognize me.  haha.  then we exercised together.  he was making me laugh the whole time so i couldn’t concentrate.  haha…
