this sign hangs on the wall in my living room. i look at it multiple times each and every day. it’s just a reminder how important the ocean is for me.
went for a free dive and was so happy to be in the ocean without all the tourist boats. the turtles, dolphins, whales, and fish are super happy to be left alone.
did a dive for dinner. the best supermarket in the world! it’s free!
i can do this everyday and just be mesmerized each time. i feel like i’m living my retirement lifestyle and i love it. i don’t use a watch, i don’t know the time, i don’t know the date, and i have no responsibilities. so when i feel like doing something i want to do, i just do it….
i’m guessing that people will come back to Hawaii starting this week. and i feel that Hawaii is pretty much the safest place in the world to be right now. good job on our government. let’s keep it safe…

May 6, 2020 Hawaii Surf Report
Hi Asayama-san, thanks for the messages. always nice to hear form you! keep healthy and see you soon!
Good morning 4:40am.
Ala Moana waist high and clean. Bigger than yesterday.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to sunrise exercise.
Have a wonderful day!
My Boys Day…
since all the gyms are closed, i went to natures gym. right on the white sandy beach watching the beautiful sunrise. working out with views like this is the way to go. and this mornings sunrise was super special!
running on the sand is good exercise for your legs and for your cardio. passed by this baby monk seal sleeping. can’t believe i’ve been waking up even earlier than the monk seals. haha…
then came home and played with Mateus. he’s sleeping over tonight so he asked me if we could exercise later. of course!
Hawaii is reopening on May 7th! in 2 days, most retail stores will open up and a lot of businesses too. that’s great news! but i’m going to miss the trafficless days. bummer…
