before…
after… good job Kimura-san on staying home and working on your home projects…
good job on Niwa for keeping the bentos flowing…
good job on Japan for social distancing. thank you Nao-san for the photos.
good job Tanaka-san on social distancing by taking a walk. she said these flowers are called “prunus serrulata.” cool!
good job Hawaiian Airlines for going to China to pick up 2 million masks to bring back to Hawaii. look on the back row in the middle. that’s my surf/foil buddy Donald!!! super cool guy!
lots of my friends can’t surf anymore because of the strict lockdown in Japan. they tell me to catch a wave for them so that’s what i’m doing. i just jumped in for a snorkel and swim on this beautiful day and had no idea there were perfect waves. luckily i always leave a surfboard in my car.
another very lucky moment for me. and if it wasn’t for this coronavirus, i would have never thought about coming here to exercise. so yes, there is always positive from the negative…

looked around yesterday morning for something totally different. something more challenging, and something more natural. and yes, i found it!
one mistake here and you will get seriously hurt, or maybe even die. huge waves pounding off the side of the cliff. i tried to paddle into this one without hitting the wall. haven’t had my heart beating like that in a while. so exciting!
the water was so clean so i started taking underwater shots. now i’m looking for a good underwater camera because this will be my new form of exercise. i had a great 2 hour session enjoying the wild…
Welcome to Blue Hawaii…
