Bittersweet Brothers

left my house at 6:30am and got home at 7pm.  a very long day that started off with an early morning egg run.

i had to buy 60 more eggs because i love fresh eggs and so do my friends.

then headed to the North Shore for finals day.  so happy that my 2 nephews were surfing today!

Joshua and Seth Moniz surfing many heats today.  they use to do this as kids in Amateur level, and now they’re doing it as adults at in Professional level…

so stoked to see so much family and friends coming down to support the boys.  it’s beautiful to see!

Joshua and Seth surfed the semi-finals together.  both so calm and both so cool.  unfortunately Joshua didn’t advance to the final, but Seth did.

we are all so proud to see the boys representing Hawaii so well.  we are at the highest level in surfing competition and these guys are up there!   Seth ended up getting 4th place overall, and Joshua 5th place overall.  i was hoping 1st and 2nd, and i’m sure they were thinking the same thing.  so yes, like Seth always says “it was bittersweet.”  the reason is he’s happy with his result, but he knew he could have won.  next time kid…

big support for the Moniz brothers.  want to thank all the boys and girls for all the support for these kids…
