i as out on the West side today and couldn’t believe how ugly this monorail has made our island. way over budget and way over due, i always thought it would be a failure. and guess who’s paying for it? yes, us. and i really don’t like to pay for things that fail…
went out to Patagonia at Haleiwa and when i walked in, i thought i was in Japan! the store was packed with 50 + Japanese! i never thought i’d see the day where they sell Down Jackets in 33 degree weather… i swear i thought i was in Japan but it felt pretty good. haha…
as for Japan, the Toda-san camping mobile is up and running…

at 1:30pm in broad daylight, a guy approached these 3 girls standing on the street and stole one of the girls purses. he not only stole her purse, he yanked her down and she hit the ground hard. right at a corner in Waikiki that i pass a couple times a day. if i saw that while i was driving by, i would have run the guy over with my truck. and i wouldn’t hesitate at all. what’s happening to this island??? 
this poor girl is traumatized forever. and she will probably never visit Hawaii ever again. and i don’t blame her. please watch around you and don’t carry valuables with you. then you can avoid being a target like this. i feel so embarrassed to call Hawaii paradise anymore… 
you must have seen the new Tesla truck that just came out right? i’m sure you did! 
Elon Musk is a genius when it comes to free publicity. one of his engineers threw a steel ball at the supposedly unbreakable window. and guess what? it broke! i think this was planned and on purpose. now the world knows and saw the new Tesla truck, even if they didn’t care about it. that’s pretty smart marketing…
