 Takahata-san and i got up early this morning and headed to the beach.  it was really windy and the waves looked small.  that’s good because there were only a couple other guys out.  THEN…. right when we got out, the waves got good!  the sets started to come in and the waves were super perfect! look at Takahata-san go!  i was riding behind him screaming!!!  i just love this view.  and i’m sure he loved his view even more… and thanks to the rain, there was a very nice double rainbow.  so nice to see while surfing… 2 days of Boot Camp on 2 magic boards.  Takahata-san is ready to go back to Japan and take his surfing up to another level.  i was so happy to see him slowing down and keeping calm.  it was amazing… last time we surfed, i told Takahata-san he doesn’t need a watch.  just come next time and enjoy the timeless moments.  so today, he was watchless and i could tell he was enjoying every moment possible.  it was so cool to see… then came home and got to play with baby Kaira.  she gave me a bite of her precious cupcake.  you so sweet!

 when i first started free diving 30 years ago, i use to pick up a lobster on almost every dive.  but now, i haven’t seen a lobster in many years here on Oahu.  the reason is because of over harvesting.  i use to see guys bringing in female lobsters with eggs.  that is bad.  and i use to also see guys bringing in lobsters when it’s off season.  that part, i can’t blame them because not too many people know when lobster season is.  so, i want to educate you guys. if there is a month with the letter “R” in it, that means it’s lobster season and you can pick up lobsters.  if there is no letter “R” in the month, it’s illegal.  this one i got had no eggs, and i picked it up in NovembeR.  that means it’s totally legal!  and it was totally delicious too!  remember the letter “R” ok!
