Yes, you had me at Aloha!
Good morning 5:20am.
New South Swell!
Ala Moana head high and perfect.
Diamond Head overhead and good.
Trade winds at 10mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going surfing and foiling.
Have a wonderful day!

want to congratulate John and Kekoa for this amazing spearfishing catch. i wish i was with you boys!!!
last night, Mt. Agung erupted in Bali. so i text Tony and Jeff the news and they though i was joking. i said “good thing you guys weren’t up there on your bikes.”
just the other day, the boys were on Mt. Agung riding around. lucky guys huh?
18 days ago, this yoga teacher Amanda Eller went missing in the mountains in Maui. after days of searching, the government canceled their search because there was no progress. BUT, her family and friends didn’t. then yesterday, they found her! she survived from the water from the stream, and fruits from the trees. isn’t that such a wonderful story!!!
Amanda hiked in the mountains, sat on a rock to meditate, fell asleep, then woke up and didn’t know how to get out. how spiritual is that? all the Aloha from the people who didn’t give up on her was all she needed. Namaste Amanda! i want to take your yoga class!
and the not so happy news from Maui today. a 65 year old tourist was swimming off the beach and got attacked by a shark. he died right in front of his wife. so sad. please enjoy your life to the fullest because it can end in a flash…
foiling has gotten so big in Hawaii that it’s actually getting very competitive. every body wants to be better than every body. from equipment, to technique, to secrets, and to foiling sessions, everybody is getting so competitive. some do it for competitiveness, and some for the soul. i was a competitor for 30 years and i have absolutely no space in my mind to compete anymore. i foil for the feeling. i foil because it makes me happy. i foil because my dream was to be able to fly, and now i’m flying. whether it’s in Australia, or Bali, or Hawaii, or anywhere else in the world, once i get up flying, nobody can bring me down. it’s my love, it’s my passion, and it’s my life. and i only have one life to live so please don’t get in my way… haha…
