i’m so happy to be back full time in the ocean again.  instead of being stuck in traffic and experiencing road rage, i can be in the ocean enjoying beautiful scenery like this.   i always think everything happens for a reason.   the reason i got hurt is because i needed to spend more quality time with my family.  and that’s exactly what i’m doing with little Kaira… i woke up this morning and got a photo from Nao-san.  was i dreaming?   what’s going on?  why is Tomoka in a photo with Nao-san?  what?   come to find out, Tomoka went to Apple and just so happen met Nao-san.  they talked about the ocean, and they talked about Hawaii.  and there i was, right in the middle.  haha…  it’s so crazy how the ocean connects us even when we’re not in the ocean.  nice to see you Tomoka, can’t wait to free dive with you again…  and nice to see you Nao-san, can’t wait to surf with you again.  this is the wonderful Go-Naminori world i love.  connecting people and creating new friendships… thank you Matsu for the plum from Taiwan!  reminds me of eating plum and long Taiwan drives… look how cute Seth was!  haha.  i love this his t-shirt!  Surf Your Dream….on my birthday 5 years ago, i was on a boat trip in the middle of the Indian Ocean.  it was a night with friends, drinks, music, and laughs.  after we drank the whole bottle of Don Julio, we turned off the lights, turned up the disco music, and danced all night long.  these are the memories that will last a lifetime…

last week it was so cold and so small.  paddled out to Bowls and seen local boys Rodney and Pat out.  i told them “you guys are hard core.  i respect guys like you.”    because i really respect the hard core surfers in this world.

last week was freezing cold, this week is like Summer!  perfect time for Oshima-san!

today was my first time of 2019 on a shortboard!  my cut is still pushing out chemicals, my ankle still hurts, but this is my rehabilitation.  surfing is my happiness, and surfing is my life.  without it, i’d be an asshole…

i’m getting old so been misplacing my keys a lot.  now i have the Tile GPS on it so everything should be alright.  PEACE…
