ok, some idiot teenager who was working at a Teddy’s Burger in Hawaii decided to grill a rat and post it on social media. now i’m not sure if i can ever eat their juicy burgers anymore… Bakatare!

i want to thank the super pop stars like Jennifer Lopez for setting a great example for the young girls. are you kidding me??? Bakatare!

i was once invited on a surf trip to a very secluded chain of islands located South of India. heard the waves were good, but also heard the tribes there shoot at helicopters and outsiders. and also heard they eat humans. that was 20 years ago and i never regretted not going there. so when heard the news today about his one American that went to explore there and got killed by bow and arrows, i wasn’t surprised at all. these places still do exist, and these places should be left just the way it is. and no, i’m not ever going there so don’t worry…

an ad just came out for this new resort. it read “Max of nine guest, so no hassling those in your own camp.” after i looked better and found out it was in the Mentawai’s, i thought this ad was very misleading. your camp might only have nine people but the lineup right in front will have 50 people. yes, the last time i went to HT’s 5 years ago, there were 50 surfers in the lineup fighting for chest high waves. included were Europeans, Hawaiians, Brazilians, and pro surfers like Jamie O’Brien. it was at that moment i told myself “i’m never ever coming back here!” so to all you non-experienced travelers, don’t be fooled by misleading advertisements like this. to spend $4,000 and travel half way around the world to fight for a wave isn’t what surf trips are about. just though i’d save you some money and disappointment…

even leaving Hawaii for just 2 days, i always feel so happy coming home.

saw Scoot Air at the airport for the first time. this is the airlines you can find one way tickets from Japan to Hawaii for $100.

i use to laugh when i would see a tourist take a photo of the sky. now i’m the guy taking those photos. haha. blue sky makes me happy!

i was planning to eat dinner at 5pm and go to sleep by 7pm. but got a call from the Nakamoto’s for dinner. dinner at the Nakamoto’s is the best! fresh ahi and mahimahi Kyle caught the day before.

and some spicy tuna poke! so delicious!

Papa Crow made the most delicious homemade wonton soup. it was amazing!

then we all watched the new episode of Skin Diver TV. Kyle and Cathy did a wonderful job on this episode as it’s in my all time top 2 for sure. it features 2 kids age 4 and 6 hunting for tako. it was the cutest thing i’ve ever seen. you have to watch it!

want to thank the Nakamoto-san family for the amazing family style dinner. i always feel like home there, and i’m sure Maki-san and Takami-san feel the same…
