this is the air Nao-san and I saw from the beach. Seth showed me the clip yesterday and i couldn’t believe it!!! it will be coming to the world wide web very soon…

back to the young boys. very energetic and up to every challenge…

so when they told me they wanted to swim in the open ocean with big waves crashing against the rocks like this, i said “ok, let’s go boys!” look how big it was!!! after that experience, i’m sure they became much stronger, and much more connected to the wild sea. it was so amazing to be a part of…

so stoked to see Hattori-san back in Hawaii for more Boot Camp.

i must be a barrel magnet because i’m getting barreled at places that don’t really barrel. this amazing summer continues…

Hattori-san on his last wave before sunset. smooth and cool!

see you again for more days of Boot Camp coming this week….

ok, this Dive shop owner took over the Beach Boys stands at Waikiki. the Beach Boys didn’t like it. now, the Dive Shop owners house suspiciously caught on fire. coincidence?

Music Video Release: I Love Hawaii by Tammy Moniz

i’d like to start off by congratulating my sister Tammy Moniz for the biggest accomplishment in her music career. she wrote and produced her very first song a few months ago and finally released it with a music video. so like always, last minute i get an invitation.

drove out to Haleiwa for a family and friends gathering. Hawaiian potluck style with lots of food, family, friends, kids, and music.

when you’re young, it’s hard to realize your siblings accomplishments. but as we get older, it’s so clear the message Tammy is sending. it’s all about music, family, love, and Hawaii. all summed up into one song.

and yes, my sister gets very emotional at times. our family has been through a lot and you would be emotional too if you only knew. but we learned as a family to only move forward…

the vibe at Haleiwa was golden.

the kids got together and sang one of the most beautiful songs you will ever hear.

and when the music video premiered, i had chicken skin the whole time. sitting in back of my sister, i honestly wanted to give her a big hug. she poured everything into her heart for the kids. and if you could see the joy in the kids faces, you would feel the love in the song.

music lives on. so proud of my sister for planting the seeds into the next generation. these 2 kids went to the oceans edge and strummed the ukulele while singing from their little hearts. i watched this and thought to myself “this is Hawaii. this is music. and this is love…”
