July 13, 2018 Hawaii Surf Report

Shuuta-kun loving life…

Good morning 5:45am.
Ala Moana waist high and clean. Sometimes a chest high set.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Waikiki knee high and perfect.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sun, clouds, and warm.
Going surfing and surfing.
Have a wonderful day!

Golden Day and Golden Night…

wow, 3 rounds of surfing today! another golden day and golden night…

started off with these 3 young surfers from Tokyo.

Hiroko-san only surfed a few times but surfed like she’s been surfing for years. look how calm and happy she is!

many rides for this energetic girl!

Yumiko-san only surfed once before but she said you couldn’t really call it surfing. haha. so today was her real debut and it was amazing.

many long rides and this girl is now a real surfer.

Ishikawa-san was on the outside all morning as we were watching him ride some nice waves. super smooth guy that’s stoked on surfing.

there was a contest happening at Bowls so we stayed on the rights. only a couple guys out so we kind of scored!

last ride in which was Ishikawa-san’s longest one. last long ride means shorter paddle in. smart guy.

ate some hot pho and got really sleepy after.

dropped the sleepy surfers off and headed straight back to the beach. ended up surfing twice more and now i’m as dark as i will ever get. haha. thanks guys for the wonderful day!

in the past 3 weeks, i saw Toda-san’s highest times, and also his lowest times. in foiling, only the strong survive. and once you get past the lowest times, life only gets better. good job Toda-san! and keep on foiling in Japan!

had a small celebration last night. it’s Toda-san’s birthday and he just turned 3 weeks old! yeah, because 3 weeks ago, he was a born again foiler…

life would totally suck without my close friends. i always think that when i’m driving home with a big smile on my face. thank you guys and girls for just being real…

The Powerful Message from Crow

the best way to watch a sunset is from the ocean. just look at this!

and when you have low clouds like this, the sky turns into an artists canvas. just breathtaking.

add some coconut trees in the front and you have yourself another painting.

this is our new fireworks gazing spot. only can get there by boat, lots of room, and as good as a view you can get.

freaking amazing!

FREEDOM!!!

every time we have a Red Sea gathering, Papa Crow gives a beautiful speech right before dinner. this time, he was talking about 2 being one. about becoming together, about being tight, about being in harmony, and about being one. he presented us with his beautiful flower arrangement he made right out of his back yard. there were tears in the room, there was love in the room, and there was harmony in the room. it’s times like this when i realize how lucky i am to have such beautiful people in my life. people that give, people that support, people that love, and people that will stick together through the good and bad. this is my treasure…

thank you Mama Nakamoto, Papa Crow, Toda-san, Takami-san, Teri, Kekoa, and everybody else for this wonderful occasion of celebrating our lifetime friendship…
