Ala Moana waist high and clean.
Diamond Head chest high and clean.
East side good but coming down fast.
No wind so perfect conditions everywhere.
Super sunny and very warm.
Going surfing.

once again, hawaii panicked again when this hurricane was heading our way. they cancelled almost every event this weekend. the hurricane turned up and left us untouched. perfect weather and epic surf! i guess better safe than sorry.

this morning was beautiful again. super glassy and nice conditions. Hashimoto-san continuing his quest to become a great surfer. so much improvements today!

i think one more day of long boarding and we’ll short board again. that’s when he will feel the difference. a big difference.

boot camp continues tomorrow. thank you Hashimoto-san for another awesome surf session!

had some time this evening so went to the east side to check the surf. as i was driving out, i could feel the winds turn north so i knew it was going to be epic!

Sandy Beach was like the north shore today. thousands of people and lots of traffic to see the big waves. and no, this hurricane didn’t disappoint.

i couldn’t believe how good Sandy’s was! it was pretty much as perfect as it gets.

and i seen some 8′ sets breaking at places i’ve never seen break before. the ocean was wild today and very dangerous.

then i came back to town to check out diamond head. absolute perfect waves!!! thank you hurricane for making us surfers very happy! more tomorrow!
