i was explaining to Hashimoto-san about the importance of long boarding. he’s a short boarder so hasn’t even tried the long board before. long boarding will make you understand the basics of surfing much better. you can catch twice the amount of waves, and ride it three times as long. so with all the practice, you can perfect your short board game. today was the day!

Hashimoto-san caught the most waves and rode it the longest in his life. little by little i could see him getting better and better. making all the proper adjustments so when he jumps back on his short board, he’ll be levels ahead.

perfect choice for the perfect day!

great job today Hashimoto-san. see you tomorrow early morning again. by the time you leave hawaii, your surfing will be 10x better. i guarantee it!

took the honeymooners surfing this afternoon. Ohno-san and Maiko-san. a very cool couple!

it was Maiko-san’s first time ever surfing. i couldn’t believe how much confidence and power she had.

and the perfect ride! awesome job Maiko-san! you are a very tough woman!!!

Ohno-san caught some nice ones too. thank you Ohno-san and Maiko-san. hope you enjoy the rest of your honeymoon in hawaii! aloha!

Ocean’s Best Friends: Taiwan’s Trestles

gosh, we had some amazing sessions in taiwan. this was our last morning surf before we had to get a flight back to taipei. it was just Mori-san, Naoka, Saito-san, and I out that morning. some 6′ sets and super good! i thought i was in a dream or something???

check out the conditions as Mori-san gets wave after wave. super good surfer with great wave knowledge. he was getting the best waves of the day every day we surfed.

check out the next typhoon coming our way! it’s going to be a huge one! more waves and more crazy conditions on the way. but if you know where to surf, you could score! and if you don’t surf, stay home because it might get crazy out there!

i’ve never seen an eye of a typhoon like this heading to hawaii before. these are the kind that hit japan and demolish cities. pretty scary!

want to thank Maneuver Line for the goodies! leashes and sex was just what i needed!

the day has come! yesterday was the first day of direct flights from USA commercial airlines. that sucks! i hope we don’t change cuba. but i think it’s already too late. bummer.

i was looking through old photos and came across some priceless moments. this one was in Tango, Kyoto. the japan sea side to be exact. i remember free diving, i remember abalone, i remember beers, i remember jacksan, and i remember having a wonderful time with my friends. remember this guys?
