can’t believe he’s only 15 years old! taller than me and bigger feet than me. this kid is already a man! and the bigger the feet, the better the balance.

gosh, this summer has been absolutely amazing! perfect warm weather with cool trade winds.

then went surfing with Manaka-san in the afternoon. a very energetic man with a lot of power. a former football player and now an elementary school teacher. super strong body, and even stronger mind.

i couldn’t believe how long we surfed this afternoon. Manaka-san wanted to ride more and more waves!

thank you for the wonderful afternoon. now i’m sure you are totally hooked on surfing after catching 25-30 waves today. haha.
well, surfed for 7 hours today. sunburn and very tired. will probably fall asleep right about… now! good night.

omg, yesterday early morning was beautiful! i had to take care of Mayuki so i went to take care of her. and i also surfed a secret spot too. nobody out and very fun!

the more you use a boat, the better it runs. the longer you let it sit, the more it breaks. so yes, i have a very good excuse to use Mayuki as much as possible. she loves it, and so do i.

my brother spent days doing the body work and preparation. this is the hard part. the part i don’t miss.

i did the easy part of spraying it. the first car i painted was my VW Squareback when i was 15 years old. something i’ve always loved to do.

took 9 coats and 3 hours of time. and when you see the results, it’s very satisfying. most people rent professional spray booths, but we do the backyard job. haha.

i sprayed it barefoot. and it took me a while to get all the paint off. in fact, i still have paint on my foot today. haha.

now the fun part of putting the buggy back together. Nate helping out my brother. my brother loves to be the mechanic. i love to be the surfer. so while my brother is working on the buggy, i’m working on my cutbacks. haha.

and Mateus loves to dance. everybody happy doing what we love to do. you can’t beat that lifestyle.
