woke up really early to do something different. first went to watch the sunrise at diamond head before starting out the day. it was beautiful.

then went to the west side. not to chase ahi, but to swim with dolphins.

took some planning, timing, and lots of effort until we finally found our pod of dolphins. and yes, it was amazing!

got some amazing underwater photos of the dolphins playing around.

we must have paddled in the open ocean for about 6 kilometers. and in-between free diving, just having an amazing time. Asayama-san’s first time to the west side, and first time swimming with dolphins. it was as beautiful as it gets out here.

got back to town in the afternoon and still didn’t get enough ocean. so headed back out for the amazing sunset.
woke up at 3:30am. now going to sleep at 10:30pm. a very long fulfilling day! good night.

Travel + Leasure: Beach Bucket List

this is one of the most famous travel magazines in america. only the best writers and photographers in the world can get something published in here. i always envy the quality of this magazine.

this current issue, they ran an article about the beach bucket list. the most beautiful beaches around the world.

guess who gets the perfect shot??? yes, Matsu! omg, he got a 2 page spread shot from our trip to nihiwatu. after seeing this amazing photo, it reminded me of our awesome early morning sessions. it was so beautiful! congratulations Matsu! you’re an amazing photographer, and a more amazing person.

i came across this photo on the internet yesterday. if you would to ask me what my dream house would be like, it would be exactly like this.

stoked to see Toda-san and the locals summer lifestyle beginning already. i can’t wait to join them.

and so happy to see my beautiful nieces all grown up into fine young ladies. i still remember the days when i use to carry each on in each arm. now i’d go to jail for that. haha.

black lives matter. i think everybody’s lives matter. we are going through a rough time in america right now. we all have to stick together to get through this. bob marley said it right, “ONE LOVE.”

three countries put out travel advisories when traveling to america. i’d never think we’d ever be on that list. pretty sad to be living in an era like this. let’s please stop killing each other.
