omg, can you believe it’s december already??? i sure can’t! this year whipped on by! starting to look forward to 2016!

flash freeze! how did we bring home the tuna from mexico? we flash froze it in mexico by simply putting it in the freezer for a few hours, then packed it tight in a cooler, put it on the flight to LAX. checked in the hotel, requested 2 mini refrigerators in our room, packed it in overnight, loaded up the cooler in the morning, checked it on the flight back to HNL, then when it got to my house, it was perfect! still ice cold! then cut up some sashimi and tossed up some poke. oh so fresh, and oh so good!

simple poke is the best. just some shoyu, sesame oil, and green onions. perfecto!

and fatty tuna for sashimi. to me, mexican tuna tastes better than hawaiian tuna. more fatty. or i was wondering if it tastes better because i caught it? haha.

even thought mexico is a beautiful place, nothing compares to hawaii. this is my home and even though it’s so expensive to live here, i just can’t get enough of it.

it was Inada-san’s first time surfing in hawaii. i’m so glad that i got to share his first experience with him. and i’m also glad the waves were as perfect as can be.

the morning was kind of small and choppy. so we went to eat lunch and when we came back, it looked like a totally new day. perfect glassy and nobody around. score!

stoked to see Chifumi-san on some good ones too!

and yes, everyday i have to get my fair share. for every 10 waves Inada-san caught, i caught one. and each one i rode, i felt like i was a little kid again. so happy to be riding on water.

omg!!! i surfed for 5 hours today and the waves were so good! good in the morning and epic in the afternoon. new south swell? i think so!

had a great time with Inada-san today. a black belt karate teacher that can kick a surfboard in half. i watched a video him kicking 2 baseball bats in half. omg! the kind of surfer you shouldn’t mess around with.

we took a spin up to tantalus. gosh, it’s so beautiful up there!

then checked out the famous japanese tree. everyone in japan knows this tree, but nobody in hawaii does.

then some sweets after our hot pho.

i must have taken a thousand people here, and not even one of them didn’t like it. it’s that good! thank you Inada-san for a wonderful day of surfing and laughing!

i flooded my go pro today. oh well. shit happens right?

then drove out this evening to hawaii kai to watch an amazing golden sunset. it was so beautiful!

these 2 australian surfers went to mexico for a surf trip. they were driving around taking photos and uploading them to their Facebook page. then all of a sudden, the updates stopped. the 2 surfers went missing somewhere in mexico.

then this van was just found with 2 burnt bodies inside. omg! this is the same mexico i went to twice this month. scary thought.
