last night we had our little grand nephews birthday party. elmo showed up!

Mateus just turned 2! the little boy is growing up too fast! just getting cuter and cuter by the day. Happy Birthday you Cutie!

had a great time surfing today with Ryunosuke-kun, or nickname “Ryan.” this kid’s been coming to hawaii for the past 18 years but first time surfing here. i think after today, he’s hooked! super genki kid with so much energy. must have caught 20 long waves and still had enough power to paddle in by himself.

Ryan was turning right and left within his first 8 waves. and we scored as nobody was around us.

super happy and smiling on every wave. Ryan went to live in Pennsylvania for a couple of years during college. now he speaks perfect english which is a huge asset to his wonderful career.

and of course i have to get my fair share too. haha.

thank you Ryan for a great afternoon of surfing and talking. you’re a very good and smart kid. keep on surfing!
Celebrating 2 years with Elmo!
Gold Time?

had super fun yesterday taking my younger brother surfing for the first time. he kind of reminds me of myself when i don’t follow instructions. maybe it’s a guy thing? or maybe it’s a Fukunaga thing? i don’t know. haha.

Davis was never a water kind of guy. so before we surfed, i had to ask him “can you swim?” haha. of course he can swim. but i just had to make sure.

when i first saw this photo of him, i thought it was me! OMG, a lot of people say we look alike and in this photo, i think we do.

well, he surfed good and i had a great time being the mean older brother i always was to him. haha.

then the little princess trying to be like her cousin Kelia Moniz.

for the past year, so many people have been telling me “it’s a good time to invest in gold!!!” then more recently as the gold prices are way down, more and more people are investing in it. i was never into gold, but i thought it would be cool to own at least a bar. and now would be the time right? so i researched it and found out a gold bar cost $490,000 or 60987850 yen! omg! so much for that idea.

maybe i’ll just buy a gram for now. haha.
